I filed my Grandson's 2023 income tax return. Turbo Tax claimed the Canada Worker's Benefit. This resulted in a refund of$1581.00.

The CRA reassessment his return & says he was not eligible for the benefit. He now has to repay the refund he received. He's a student and this will present a huge difficulty for him. I think Turbo Tax should be held responsible for these errors within their software!

A full-time student for more than thirteen weeks with no dependents at the end of the year doesn't qualify for the Canada Workers Benefit.
