Even if you do not explicitly enter medical expenses, TurboTax will pull information from specific boxes on your employer-provided slips, classifying them as "phantom" or automatic medical expenses.

Check if any of these apply to you:

T4 Box 85 (Private Health Services Plan Premiums): If your employer deducted private health insurance premiums through payroll, this amount is reported here. TurboTax automatically pulls this to line 33099.
T4A Box 135 (Provincial Medical Premiums): Similar to T4, premiums paid to a provincial plan can be auto-filled from a T4A.
Unused Carry Forward: You may have a medical expense amount carried forward from the previous year's tax return.

If you believe this amount is incorrect, you must check your T4 entries or delete the auto-filled data.
