I do my families taxes it has been a few years since my brother has filed so I need more than the 8 returns what is the charge for more returns? as well it does recommend upgrading to premier for my parents. if I do upgrade do I have to re enter all of the slips for them? and will it give me 12 returns? Thanks

I am using desk top and standard version purchased at costco

@scott mckever No worries, the upgrade from Standard to Premier, will increase the number of returns for income more than $25 000. You'll go from 8 returns to 12. It won't have any impact on the returns already saved in your computer.

We suggest you to wait before the upgrade. Even if you have the Standard edition for 8 returns with income over $25 000, you should keep track of the number left in your counter. To access it: View // Summary // Return counter summary.

Note that in all Desktop software, you can prepare up to 20 returns. By example, for Standard edition you will be able to prepare 8 returns with income over $25 000 / and 12 returns with income of/under $25 000.

If you need to do the upgrade, you just have to do it, directly from your software:

Click on the word Help in the white tools bar

Click upgrade

in tax centre, click upgrade my version of TurboTax.

You will only have to pay the difference between both edition.
