That works. I usually add up anything to do with eye care and input the total. Massage, physio, and acupuncture can all go together, as can mileage, hotel and meals under one total. If CRA wants to see it, just make sure you have the receipts.

WHEN I PRINT THE MEDICAL EXPENSE WORKSHEET IT ONLY PRINTS THE

FIRST PAGE OF DETAIL EXPENSES AND ONLY SHOWS A TOTAL FROM

OTHER RECEIPTS WITHOUT PRINTING OUT THE DETAIL OF THOSE RECEIPTS.

IT DOES PRINT OUT A SECOND PAYGE SHOWING PREMIUMS TO MEDICAL PLANS

AND TOTAL OF ALL EXOPENSES.

Did you check your printer settings? As we have tried on our end and it worked fine.

Thanks for choosing TurboTax.

I have more than one page of expenses on the first page it shows all lines filled

then last line shows total of all expenses that are not shown on first page.

The second page shows the totals of everything including health premiums.

I use a spreadsheet to back up all my expenses. My question has been why does

quick tax not allow you to print summary pages of all the detailed expenses

that do not fit on the first page,

I checked the printer settings and it still only prints as I have explained above.

The number of lines on the 1st page of the medical expense worksheet is fixed. It doesn't grow if you add more expenses than there are lines, instead as you see, it just gives you a total of the expenses that could not fit.

The work around is to try to consolidate your expenses if possible. Ex: instead of entering a bunch of individual prescription receipts, you can put them together just as "prescriptions".

Since you already have a spreadsheet for support, you can just input a total for each type of expense, ie dental, prescription, massage etc. The form does not have enough room for all individual entry.

I tried to input 20 medical expenses. But it only showed 13 entries. I worked around it by combing some of the receipts that I had.
