      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you are preparing a joint return, medical expenses can only be claimed by one person. You can always combine the medical receipts together if it is from the same provider/ pharmacy. If medical expenses are claimed by one person only, then it should under that persons' profile, you cannot combine them together, once you claim those expenses under your spouse's profile.&lt;/P&gt;
