The issue related to Schedule 3 was reported to our teams. Unfortunately, this is not a situation under our control. At this time, some CRA forms are still being reviewed by them for the 2024 tax season, which could explain why some calculations are not done correctly or do not appear, and this has an effect on other calculation linked to this schedule.

We invite you to contact our product support team by phone, if you think this is not related.

They have access to tools we don't have here in Community, like screenshare, and see the issues to escalate into an investigation if needed.

Thank you for your patience and choosing TurboTax.

I did a test with UFile and there is no such problem. I think there is a problem with the computational relationship between the tables.

According to the latest notice of the Federal Tax Administration "Taxable Capital Gains" is still maintained at 50%.

Instead of reporting "Foreign Capital Gains" in Foreign Income, foreign capital gains are reported in the "Summary of Capital Gains and Capital Gains Deductions", which is the same for both federal and Quebec returns. However, this should not meet the requirements of the tax law.

I would like to resolve this issue.

I have been using TurboTax to file my taxes for 5 years and I purchased the software early this year, but was disappointed that the software was clearly buggy and I had hoped that I would be alerted to the timely fixing of the software bugs.

I was hoping to be told how to get a refund (purchased online).

After repeated searches and calculations, the reasons for this phenomenon are:
Fill in "Foreign Income - Capital Gains" and fill in "Capital Gains - Calculation" as required. As a result, the software calculates the capital gains twice at 50% each in the federal part, and the report reflects 100% of the capital gains amount.
There are a lot of questions in TurboTax this year, so you need to fill them out and check them carefully.
