@Missygund Line 23200 of your return is where allowable amounts not deducted anywhere else on your return are entered. If you have foreign income on your T5, and have paid foreign taxes on that income, you might have a Section 20(12) deduction on line 23200 of your T1. This deduction would be whatever foreign tax is not refunded by the Foreign Tax Credit.

Had the exact same issue as others on here with a number in the 68080 box that I could not figure out. Was able to determine the calculation in my case as follows:

Foreign Tax Amount on Foreign Tax Slip (converted to CAD) - Federal Foreign Tax Credit from T2209 - Prov Tax Credit from T2036 = amount in 68080 = amount in 23200
