2024 Turbotax Premier download issues

Hi,

Apologies if this is a double post.

I purchased the 2024 Premier Turbotax at Costco earlier this year and unfortunately I was only able to start my 2024 taxes in Dec. 2025. On Intuit's website, I found where to download the 2024 Turbotax, however when I click on the 2024 version it brings me to the 2025 tax year not 2024, however when I click on 2023 I get the correct 2023 download. The website says I can purchase the 2024 tax year but I already purchased it through Costco. Please direct me where I can go to download the 2024 tax year using my license code.

@TurboTaxAniqua thank you. I have bought Canada Turbotax 2024 desktop licence but there is no option to “Transfer from TurboTax Online” or “Import → TurboTax Online”. I canno find button "import". My idea is to 1) To create a local .tt24 file and 2) then open it in 2025 desktop version. @TurboTaxAniqua Can you guide me?

@Stepan Unfortunately, you can't import your previous tax year's data from TurboTax Online to TurboTax Desktop. TurboTax Online can't export anything other than a PDF file, and TurboTax Desktop can't open PDF files. Only .ttxx files.

The PDF file cannot be converted to .tt24 file.

@Stepan As Aniqua said, you can only download PDF files from TurboTax Online. It doesn't generate .ttxx files. You can't transfer tax returns from TurboTax Online into TurboTax Desktop.

The main task it to file departure return and as far as I know desktop version ca help me with that only. But to file departure return I would need to upload .tt24 files to the desktop 2025 version. So where I can find these files??

or is there any other way to file departure return via online turbotax version?

@Stepan You can still enter your information from the previous year manually.

With a few exceptions, TurboTax Online and TurboTax Desktop have the same forms and can make the same kinds of returns. But nether have forms T1161, T1243 or T1244, which might be needed when creating a departure return. You can get these forms from the CRA website, fill them out and mail them in with the rest of your return.
