I have entered FHSA contribution of $8000 through T4FHSA but it didn't show up as deduction in Registered Savings Plans Summary. Instead, the amount is carried forward to next year, which is not what I wanted. I tried to enter in Schedule 15, line 57, but it was marked as calulated value. I called Turbotax support and shared screen, but the product specialist is not able to help. She told me to pay $75 for "Assist & Review" in order to get help from "Expert", which I think is ridiculous...maybe the experts here can help!

Did you enter the amount of the deduction that you want to claim in the line between 56 & 57?

Just wondering...

1) Should the wordings in Easy Step be more clear? It sounds like if you are claiming for the max, nothing needs to be enter. Maybe it's just me.

2) The "product specialist" answering my call should learn from you, and not making me re-entering everything re FHSA and not able to state the thing I missed.

The previous solution did not work for me. In the FHSA summary under "FHSA contributions for 2025 less withdrawals" it shows a zero amount. In the same section for 2024 it shows the correct amount. Also in the detailed tax summary it shows the correct amount. But it concerns me that the 2025 FHSA summary is not correct.

@user17720738631 Sometimes TurboTax records the contribution but doesn't automatically apply the deduction for the current year (it might assume you want to carry it forward).

Let's check a few things:

Go back to the FHSA section in the interview.

Look for a screen that asks: "How much of your FHSA contribution do you want to deduct this year?"

Ensure the full $8,000 is entered in the "Amount to claim" box. If this is blank, the summary will show $0, even if the T4FHSA is present.

If you are using the CD/download version of TurboTax, the summary pages sometimes fail to refresh even after the data is updated.

Switch to Forms Mode (bottom left or top menu).

Open Schedule 15.

Make a tiny change (e.g., delete one digit of the $8,000 and retype it). This often forces the software to "recalculate" all linked summary fields.

Switch back to EasyStep and check the summary again.

You mentioned it worked in 2024. In 2025, TurboTax updated its flow to better handle carry-forwards.

Check if you have accidentally indicated that you are a "First-Time Home Buyer" who made a qualifying withdrawal in 2025.

Thankyou for your suggestions. I tried each one in turn and unfortunately they did not work. The detailed tax summary is correct (it always has been). It is just that one line in the FHSA summary - "FHSA contributions for 2025 less withdrawals" being zero - that is concerning me. It looks like this:

I have unfortunately called in five separate times - and each time they say I need to talk to a supervisor - and then leave me on hold. A few times after waiting on hold they said a supervisor would call me back in 24 hours but no one did. Two times I requested that I continue to wait on hold for a supervisor then just got disconnected after waiting an hour. It has been very frustrating! The last time I called in the women gave me a link to post a question in this forum. I appreciate the help u have given me so far in this forum. But u can understand I don’t want to call in again. Is there perhaps any other suggestions? Or perhaps it is fine to submit the tax return as is? Where does that number in the FHSA summary that currently displays zero, but should say $8000, come from?

If the proper amount is showing at line 68935 on Schedule 15, then it's being included in you tax return. It's the Schedule 15 that's going to be transmitted to the CRA, not the FHSA summary.

I called customer service when I enter all the information on my FHSA slip. There is no deduction. There is no option to select how much to carry forward. It just carries forward my full amount that I have contributed to my FHSA. Im using the online version.

While completing your tax return, you can choose how much of the amount you would like to deduct for the current tax year and any remaining balance will automatically be carried forward.

I'm using the desktop version and have this issue as well, but I think this is a bug with TurboTax not seeing the information from the T4FHSA entry.

I have 2025 contribution room of 16k, and made a 16k contribution in 2025.

I believe the real problem is this here - Turbotax is showing contributions less withdrawals as 0. I have never made withdrawals, only contributed 16k. Clearly this is a Turbotax bug.

We apologize for this inconvenience, as the question, "If you wish to claim less than the maximum above, enter it here," should say, "Enter the amount you want to deduct." - Therefore, enter the amount that you want to deduct even if it is the same amount as above.

@justheretofindananswer To override, follow the steps below:

Switch to Forms Mode by clicking the Forms icon in the top right (or press Ctrl + F2).

Navigate to the form and the specific line you wish to change.

Right-click the field and select Override (or press F2).

The field will turn red, indicating that the automatic calculation has been bypassed.

Type in your desired value and press Enter.

I'm also having this bug. Please TurboTax fix this.

I put my T4FHSA slip amount, but the FHSA Summary is showing as 0, and it's affecting my Tax Refund final amount calculated (big top left number).

I'm using the Desktop app, Standard Edition, updated to latest version.
