    <description>&lt;P data-path-to-node="1"&gt;&lt;STRONG data-path-to-node="1" data-index-in-node="41"&gt;You do not actually "claim" or "report" the CCB amount on your tax return.&lt;/STRONG&gt; Because the CCB is a tax-free benefit, it does not count as income, and there is no line on the T1 General form to enter how much you received.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P data-path-to-node="2"&gt;However, you still need to set up your &lt;STRONG data-path-to-node="2" data-index-in-node="39"&gt;Dependant Profile&lt;/STRONG&gt; correctly in TurboTax to ensure your other credits (like the "Amount for an Eligible Dependent") are calculated correctly.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P data-path-to-node="2"&gt;The software estimates your &lt;I data-path-to-node="8,0,0" data-index-in-node="69"&gt;tax refund&lt;/I&gt;, but the CRA calculates your &lt;I data-path-to-node="8,0,0" data-index-in-node="109"&gt;CCB entitlement&lt;/I&gt; separately after they receive your filed return.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I already have set up with CRA that I only receive 50% of child tax benefit but my question is this the first time I am preparing my return with Turbo tax desktop and how do I enter that I only receive 50% of the child tax benefit so that Turbo tax is only showing my entitlement at 50%?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
