A 504 Bad Gateway error when clicking "Continue" typically means the tax website's server is overwhelmed or taking too long to process your return. Try these troubleshooting steps below:

504 errors are usually temporary. Wait 15–30 minutes before trying again.
Open a new browser session in Incognito (Chrome/Edge) or Private (Firefox) mode to rule out extension conflicts.
Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
Switch from Chrome to Firefox/Edge, or use a mobile app/different computer.
If using WiFi, try switching to mobile data temporarily.
