Adding EI Premiums for Self-Employed (Schedule 13)

Hi,

I already filed my 2025 tax return but realized that I did not include EI premiums for my self-employment income (Schedule 13).

I registered for EI for self-employed individuals in March 2024. I cannot find Line 42120 or directly edit Line 31217, which I understand are calculated fields.

The CRA website suggests revising Lines 54493 and 54494; however, both are currently 0 in my return, and updating them does not result in any recognized change.

Could you please advise how I should correctly update my return to include EI premiums? Specifically, should I be adjusting my self-employment income or another input to trigger Schedule 13?

When you are at the "Your Self-Employment or Business Summary" page that lists your businesses, click on the "Done With Businesses" button. The next page should be "Employment Insurance Premiums on Self-Employment and Other Eligible Earnings", where you can answer "YES" to EI.
