Do I claim business income under self-employment when I have already paid my business taxes?

Do I claim self-employment income when it has already been declared under my business tax return? I paid my 2018 business taxes earlier this month. I don't understand how the self-employment section applies as I prepare my personal income taxes.

Based on your description, it sounds like your business is incorporated and you filed a T2 return for your business. (Regarding the T2, this is not to be confused with the GST return that business are also required to file.)

The self-employment income on the personal return is for people who own businesses that are NOT incorporated. In those cases, you just need to enter the amounts in there.
