Can i claim expenses for the income earned as a casual worker for CRA purposes?

I am a part time employee at walmart. In my spare time I work general labor jobs (painting, gardening, snow removal, etc) which involves buying material like snow shovels, paint cans, etc. Is there any way I can claim those expenses against the income that i made from those small jobs? I am a canadian resident.

Consider claiming your casual earnings as Self-employment and complete the Business Activities schedule (T2125).

You do not need to have a Business Number and the Name is your personal name.
