Can i claim moving expenses when moving to canada from abroad (UK)?

I moved to Canada in April 2014 and want to know if I can claim expenses such as the air fare and accommodation costs in the UK during my travel?

Generally, you can only claim moving expenses for moves within Canada unless you are a deemed or factual resident of Canada.  An exception to this would be if you are a full time student, in which case you can claim eligible moving expenses against the taxable portion of scholarship, fellowship, bursary, prize and research grant income.  For more info, please see http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/ncm-tx/rtrn/cmpltng/ddctns/lns206-236/219/mv-eng.html
