Can i deduct business expense not under my name

I'm about to open a business in 2018 under my name. In 2017 my husband, same last name same address as mine, bought few stuff for my business using his credit card since I did  not have one. Now the invoices are under his name. Can I deduct these start up costs for my business  if he used his credit card and invoices are on his name ? I paid him cash for these costs . Thank you.

You should be able to claim them but be prepared to prove to CRA that you actually paid for them if/when you get audited by CRA.
