Can I deduct Medicare premiums on schedule C?
My wife and I receive Medicare parts A and B (primary) and retiree health plans which are secondary. Since I am self-employed I would like to deduct Medicare premiums as self-employment deductions on schedule C. An accountant friend says that I can since our retiree health plans are secondary and IRS does not consider them to be "subsidizde employer health plan". Am I safe to deduct the Medicare premiums?
