Do you claim summer self employment, when you don't have a business name, by inputting the amount in casual labor and claiming the expenses ie fuel?

I did not receive any T-4 slips or any forms from the company that I was working for - they said I was "self-employed" and expected to have tools and a car (as it was landscaping).  Each week I invoiced them for the work I did and they paid me.

You must use the Self-Employment section if you want to claim expenses against your income. The business name can be your name and the business address can be your home address. Don’t worry about GST and registration numbers if they don’t apply to you.

You can look up your industry code on the CRA website: http://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&TVD=380372

Or you can use the search tools on the NAICS website: https://www.naics.com/search/

This guide was made for rideshare drivers, but it may be useful to you as it goes through many pages that are often used in the Self-Employment section of TurboTax Online: https://turbotax.intuit.ca/tips/guide-uber-partners-7522?cid=sm_fy113_tto_e_YT_Uber_Webinar
