For self-employment income. Can you still claim car maintenance and insurance if you received a mileage/gas per diem?

I am not sure that we understand the question. Can you please give us a little more detail so that we can assist you?  If you are self-employed then who would have given you a daily allowance to pay for your car? What kind of job do you do?
