GST, ITC, and buisness expenes

So I know how GST and ITC credits work I am just wondering how to enter things with the software.

Say I am entering my business rent that I am claiming the GST on as a input tax credit do I also include the GST portion of my rent in the software when entering my rent?

No, you will not enter the amount with the GST as you will be claiming the GST separately in your GST/HST return.
