I receive a non-taxable travel allowance from my employer. If my travel expenses incurred significantly exceeds the travel allowance am I able to deduct the extra amount?

Hi there,

Yes you can claim the amounts beyond what the travel allowance covers. This would need to be specified under Income > Employment Expenses and indicate you have Motor Vehicle Expenses, and enter the relevant details in the form under Employment Related Driving.
