I went to efile the taxes, but i got an error code 95365 because it stated that there were no entries on line 68140 on schedule 3 which is from box 21 from the T3. I entered an amount in box 21 from the T3?
For the error on the T3 slip not balancing box 52+53 to equal box 21A, trying to enter the sum of 52+53 into box 53 (deleting 52) should fix the problem.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
I tried that & the value in box 21 is not transferring to line 68140 on T936.
I checked for updates & it said I was up to date.
Any other suggestions?

I did make sure it balanced to 21A. That amount will not transfer to line 68140 on schedule 3 though.
@BF1925 We are aware of this issue, and are working on a resolution. Currently we don't have any ETA. Once it is resolved, we will update you in this thread. We appreciate your patience.
Is there a problem with form T691 also? The # on Line 22100 is not transferring over.
Again i have checked for updates & it says there are not any.

I have exactly the same issue. I got rid of the box 52 and 53 issue but error 95365 indicates that line 21 is not being entered in box 68140 on form T936. When will the update be issued fixing this issue?
@cam222 If you are using TurboTax Desktop, updates were available this week. Please make sure to update your software and try again.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
The latest update still does not solve the issue. When a person has a T3 with capital gains in box 21 it is not transferring to box 68140 in Chart A form T936 when you also have capital losses from T5008s. This generates the error when filing.
Updated turbo tax yesterday but still having the same problem with box 68140 on the T936. It is working correctly for my return but not for my spouse’s return as he has a capital loss on schedule 3. Any idea when this will be fixed?
I just updated today (Friday Apr.04/25 at 7:00 p.m. eastern) & it still does not work.
I there something else I can do?
I have been using Turbo Tax (before Quick Tax) for many years & I have never had a problem.
Now this year I have 2 errors that are still not resolved.
The other error is on T691 that line 22100 from the T1 General is not transferring over to line 67820 0r 67840 on the T691.
I am starting to get a little concerned that these issues are not resolved yet.
I am not sure where 68140 is, but it is not updating to 17599 or 17600 on the T1 for 2024 as of today. I just updated the software.
Is this on the list to be fixed shortly?
@cam222 We will need some more details to be able to assist you properly.
On your T3s, which period do you have the amount in? box 52 or 53? And on Schedule 3 part 4, do you see your losses?
On your T5008, can you please verify you entered the date of disposition (box 14).
Can you please make sure you have the latest version of TurboTax Desktop? Should be 00.01.62 Build 6007 068G25
We made some tests and it is working, but we know some of our customers are still experiencing issues with these forms.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Thank you for your response:
I added box 52 & 53 together & put them in box 53.
No on line 17599 on schedule 3 part 4 is blank, but on line 17600 shows a gain
I do have dates for all of my T5008 forms (box 14)
Yes I do have the latest version.
Line 68140 is still blank even though all the box 21 from the T3 slips ads up to $2,159.15
Hi
In answer to your questions:
Yes I have the latest version of the software (matches what you wrote)
Yes I see the capital gains and losses in Part 4. The capital losses are from a T5008 which I did not enter in T5008 but entered in the capital gains section. The capital losses show in Period 1 and the capital gain from the T3 shows in Period 2. It is in box 53 in the T3. Box 19900 in Part 5 calculates correctly.
The only issue I seem to have is that box 21 from the T3 does not transfer into box 68140 on Chart A.
As a second reply I tried removing the capital losses I entered and input them in the T5008 section. No change.
Next I removed all capital gains and losses and then box 21 from the T3 did transfer into box 68140.
Next I added a capital gain in the T5008 section and box 21 from the T3 still transferred into box 68140.
Lastly, I added a capital loss stock in the T5008 section and box 21 now DID NOT transfer into box 68140.
I noticed that in Chart A box 1 (and others in Chart A) it says if the number is negative show the amount in brackets. In the case of capital losses from T5008 as in my case box 1 is negative and in the software it shows as a negative number not a number in brackets. Could this be the issue?

We will have a closer look at this.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
I got your private message. The amounts of all the boxes 21 from the T3s are still not transferring to line 68140 Box A on the T691.
it does not let me net file with this error.
Please help me with this.
I have the same issue. The latest email I got about errors says Error 95365 was fixed on April 8th. It has not been fixed. The part about boxes 52 and 53 may be fixed but not the main issue.
The T3 box 21 amounts transfer into box 17600 but not into box 68140 when a person has capital losses from a T5008.
Please advise if this is part of the fix we all hope for on April 14th.
My t3 total for capital gains is not transferring to line 68140.
I just updated turbo tax but still not working
when will this be fixed or is there an override option
