How do I properly claim Work-Space-in-the-Home percentage if I moved halfway through the year and the homes and office are different sizes, hence different claimable %

Software only allows me to input square footage for one location and one office...but as stated I moved and these will be different.

You will need to find the "average" percentage for both locations and enter that number in.

For example:

  • Home A - 300 sq ft/1000 sq ft home = 30%
  • Home B - 360 sq ft/2000 sq ft home = 18%
  • Average space used is 24%. Enter in TurboTax as 24 of 100 ratio.

You can total your expenses from both locations and enter as such.
