In TurboTax Online Self-Employed, like previous years, to get the section for inventory and subcontracts, you have to make sure you select the proper type of business. This option is under the type "Business" (see screenshot).
Then, you complete the business profile and will have a page with the question "Did you sell products that you bought or manufactured?" When you click on Yes, it will open the list of inventory- and under there you will find "Cost of subcontracts hired".
