I purchased my first vehicle August of 2016 and use it primarily for driving to and from work. How do I claim this? How do I claim gas? In what section? I am clueless with this and appreciate the help. Thank you!

Thank you for your question.

Are you self-employed(run your own business) or are you an employee and have a T2200?

An employee is not able to claim expenses to get to and from work, but may have expenses if required to use vehicle during the work day to complete their job function, away from the office. This does require a T2200 form and log book.
