I think I started this file incorrectly because it isnt giving me the statement of business activities with my vehicle expense?

It is possible that you never checked off that you wanted to claim business expenses.  You can go to the top right and type in "expenses" and click on business expenses, then go. You will then see the pages to enter your expenses.
