I work exactly 50% from the office and 50% from home. I purchased two monitors, a desk, and other supplies for the sole purpose work-related use. Can I claim on my tax?

I can receive my t2200, but I did not work over the 50% from home. However, work requires me to have my own equipment

As per CRA, you can deduct expenses you paid in 2024 for the employment use of a work space in your home, as long as you meet one of the following conditions:

  • The work space is where you mainly (more than 50% of the time) do your work
  • You use the work space only to earn your employment income. You also have to use it on a regular and continuous basis for meeting clients, customers or other people in the course of your employment duties
