Possible to claim costs incurred visiting campus when employed as teaching assistant as 'employment expenses'?

I am a mature graduate student living remotely (500m+) from campus. When employed as a teaching assistant, I must visit campus from time to time, and this imposes travel and lodging costs. May I claim these as employment expenses?

You would need a signed T2200 from the employer stating that the travel was a condition of employment, and not reimbursed.  Then you may be able to claim the expenses.
