May I claim my home office as a tax deduction when I'm on call 24/7?
I am on call for tech support 24/7 so that in itself requires me to work from home. My employer also allows me to work from home Monday thru Thursday in my home office. I go in to the office on Friday's for meetings. I have a cubicle where I sit, but there is no computer equipment for me to use to work so I bring my laptop. Can I claim my home office, electricity, etc as a deduction? I am in Illinois. Thank you in advance.
