For example, she has her mother help out at times, I'm finding it difficult to determine the real difference between line 9060 and line 8340. If necessary, we could go the sub contracting route and have her mom write an invoice and put it on line 8360 correct? The language is a little confusing 8340 and 8360 specify "goods" sold and manufactured, but she does not do this, simply services for decorating .
In form T2125, line 8340 will have entries when the business has goods that it is selling and it incurs wage costs in creating those goods that it sells (business manufactures and sells goods). Otherwise, if the business only provides services, then payments made as salaries, etc. are claimed in line 9060.
CRA website directly says NOT to put it under 9060 if it's for a subcontract
@Cjay-Siege On the T2125, line 9060 is for gross salaries and other benefits you pay to employee(s). As per CRA website, subcontracts should be entered on line 8360.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
