The T5013 originator says Foreign Rental Income is to appear in Box 107 of the T5013 input form. When doing that it appears on Line 126 of the T1 General but does not flow through to Line 433 on Form T2209. The Foreign Tax Paid as input in Box 171 of the T5013 does however flow through to Line 431 on the T2209.
Revenue Canada does not like this. They insist the income must appear on Line 433 of the T2209. This requires a manual over ride to input on Line 433. Why should I have to do that? Why does TurboTax not flow properly or at least allow the input without doing an over ride?
CRA has made some changes to the T5013. Please see the instructions for the new design to see if this will assist you.

The change by Revenue Canada does nothing for the apparent glitch in the TurboTax process. This 'fault' of the Box 107 on T5013 has been identified to TurboTax for a couple of years at least and they have not fixed it or even highlighted it. I have a "reassessment notice" coming to me from Revenue Canada pointing out the fault of not having a sum in Line 433 of the T2099. I will have to see what they are saying about it. IN the meantime I will try to contact TurboTax tomorrow and see if I can get an answer from them. It seems I have to phone them as trying to contact them through this website is just one big merry-go-round.
This is mainly a user to user forum, not to be confused with Intuit support.
That is part of the problem. For direct support the website is terrible -- my opinion! I have dug up their phone number and am currently waiting for a call back. Thanks.
