I have a job but do some respite care on weekends and evenings. Do i need to claim this extra income? If yes, can I claim my milage expenses for it?

I have a job but do some respite care on weekends and evenings. Do i need to claim this extra income? If yes, can I claim my milage expenses for it?

Yes, you should claim this income. If you didn’t get a t-slip for it, you can include it as Other Employment Income. To do this click “Find” and search for “tips”, then select it from the list and click on the “Go” button.

On the “Other Employment Income Sources” page, fill in the top line, “Tips, gratuities or occasional earning not reported on a tax slip from the payer”, then click the “Continue” button to save your changes.
