Where do I claim my employment expenses in TurboTax Online?

To claim employment expenses for tax years 2020, 2021 or 2022, see Employment Expenses During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

To claim employment expenses after tax year 2022 using TurboTax Online, complete these instructions:

  1. Answer all Personal info interview questions if you haven’t already. This unlocks 2024 tax return.
  2. From 2024 tax return, under Add to your return, enter Employment in the search bar and select Employment Expenses.
  3. At Employment Expense, select Yes.
  4. At Employment Expenses Profile:
    1. Select I received T2200, then select Continue. If the employer hasn't provided the form, the expense can't be claimed.
    2. Select appropriate boxes from the checklist and continue.
  5. For each of the boxes you checked in the previous step, you will be taken to a step for entering the specific expense info.
