As a Gr. 12 student do I have to pay EI?

Don't believe that I am eligible for EI benefits as a part time worker in Gr. 12?? Do I have to pay for something that I can't benefit from?

There is no age limit for deducting EI premiums.

Even though you may not be eligible to receive Employment Insurance; once you are employed; it is required that it be deducted from your pay.
