As a rule, when RRSPs are transferred on the breakdown of a marriage or common-law partnership, there are no tax slips issued and nothing is reported on your tax return. 

If you have been issued an RRSP Contribution Receipt to be used as a deduction, you should also have a T4RSP slip that needs to be included in income. You cannot claim the deduction without including the income.
