Can i claim education expenses when a grant was received

I am enrolled in a full time university program while working full time. Part of my tuition fee (almost 50%) is paid by my employer. In this scenario can i still claim the $440 a month education expense amount?

When i filed taxes i made sure i only enter the amount paid by me only for tuition fees.

Brenda, thank you for sharing the CRA link. It does say i am not eligible for the education amount if i received a reimbursement. Since I was not 100% reimbursed by my employer, am i still not eligible for the education amount? or can i claim part of the amount?

Please contact CRA - since its not specific - Yes you got reimbursed but you also got a grant. Please contact them at  1-800-959-8281

So called the CRA helpline, if you receive a any amount of reimbursement then you are not eligible to claim education expense credit.

I find this to be unfair (since i wasn't reimbursed the full amount) but what to do :(
