Can i claim unused rrsp contributions when I did not have any working income, only pension income?

I have a carry over of unused rrsp contributions which is under $2000.  I would like to claim this, but did not have any income last year as I am retired and receive a pension.  Am I allowed to claim this rrsp contribution?

Yes, you are able to claim unused RRSP contributions on your return despite not reporting any employment income.
