Continuing to get the warning: "applying for WITB, however your situation makes you ineligible." All the boxes under my T-Slips are unchecked including RC210.

To clear the warning, return to the WITB section of your return and select No to the question "Do you want to see if you qualify for the Working Income Tax Benefit?".

To return to the WITB section of your return,

  1. In the upper-right corner of your screen, select Find.
  2. In the Find window, type Working.
  3. Select Working Income Tax Benefit from the list, and select Go.

Have you already put in your tuition amounts? Often TurboTax will add the Canada Workers Benefit (CWB) (aka the Working Income Tax Benefit) when you enter in employment income, but then remove it when you enter your tuition information.

Also, if you were only a part time student, or you were full time but had an eligible dependant, you may still qualify for the CWB.

What if I didn't pay for my tuition and a family member is the one that paid for it, how do I clear the CWB warning?
