Do student discounts in dentist expenses count in the tax file?

No. You can claim the amount that you paid for dental services. If you got the services at a discount, this doesn't matter.

When it would matter is if you paid the dentist, but then your school (or insurance or an employer) reimbursed you for all or part of the amount. In that case you would only be able to claim any part of the expense that wasn't reimbursed.
