Does my home address have to be on file with CRA in order to receive trillium benefits?

When I spoke to a CRA rep to enquire why i was asked to pay back trillium benefits received I was told they had no record of the address I was claiming rent for.

You must provide an address on the original application for the Trillium Benefit, providing only the rent amount will not be acceptable. In addition you may be required to provide proof of payment of the rent claimed. If you have this information in the form of a Lease and Rent Receipt you should be able to have the repayment reversed by contacting CRA and offering to provide the missing documentation.
