How can monies from OSAP designated specifically for books and sent directly to the University be considered "income?"

Live in a rent geared to income complex and they increased rent because the OSAP Grant is considered "income."

While the Canada Revenue Agency does not consider OSAP grants as income and therefore does not require reporting on your income tax return; your geared to income rent can consider it as income.  They are two separate entities.
