How do I CORRECT the name of the firm that provides me a pension? (It was given INCORRECTLY by the automatic fill from the CRA.)

Your slips are sent to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) by your pension provider, so if the name is incorrect, you would need to contact the pension provider to have them send a correction to the CRA.

However, you can change it within TurboTax yourself by going to the slip and fixing it there. In the upper-right corner of your screen, select Find (magnifying glass). In the Find window, type in the slip that you are looking for (ex: T4A, T4RIF, etc…) and then select it from the list. Click the “Go” button to see the Summary page for that slip. There you can click “Edit” next to the slip you want to change.

Please be aware that the pension provider’s name is optional and not necessary to complete your tax return.
