How do I not carry forward unused tuition/education amounts from 2017 to 2018 return? I don't need it as I'm already getting a refund.

TurboTax will automatically apply as many tuition credits as necessary to help reduce any net tax owing to zero or as close to zero as possible.  The amount that you do not need will automatically carry forward.

But like in my case as well I do not need to use the claim because without it I still get a REFUND, but turbotax is automatically adding the Unused Tuition and Education amount from 2017?
