I am entering a social assistance slip under my name, but the income is going under my husband income summary.

If you are married or in a common-law partnership, the person who has the higher net income must report the Social Assistance payments received during the year.

For the purposes of this reporting requirement, the CRA takes into account your marital status on December 31st of the tax year for which you are filing. Regardless of who actually collected the payments, this is a CRA ruling and TurboTax will automatically direct the income to the correct spouse.
