    I am over on my RRSP limit, can I put the balance on my spouses rrsp deduction?

    I am over on my RRSP limit, can I put the balance on my spouses rrsp deduction?

    No.  A spousal contribution counts on yours as well. If the contribution is in your name, you can't report it on your wife's return. You do have a 2 thousand dollar leeway.  If you are over that, you have a problem.
