If you have no direct income from an RRSP last year, the entry for RRSP income may originate from information relating to repayment of either the Home Buyers' Plan or Lifelong Learning Plan. If you have an amount due for either of these programs and have not made a repayment (via RRSP contribution designation), the payment amount will be listed as RRSP income.

For example, if your HBP repayment amount is $500 for 2017 and you haven't made $500 in RRSP contributions (and designated $500 as HBP repayment), the repayment amount of $500 will appear as taxable RRSP income.

If you do not have an HBP or LLP payment due, please contact our phone support team for assistance.
