You can claim the cost of training courses in specific situations. Here's how to determine if you're eligible.

Eligible situations:

  1. Courses qualifying for the tuition credit:
  2. Employer-required courses (for commission-based employees):
    • Course required by your employer
    • Not reimbursed for the expense
    • Employer provided a signed T2200 form
    • Report in the Employment Expenses section in the Other employment expenses field
  3. Self-employed individuals:
    • Course related to your work
    • Report where you enter your self-employment income
      • T2125 in the Business, Professional, and Commission Income section
      • T2121 in the Fishing Income section
      • T2042 in the Farming Income section

Refer to CRA article: Line 45350 – Canada training credit (CTC)
