If using a T5 with 2 persons on the slip, do I fill it out under one person and enter the % to claim on the spouse`s return, OR do I have to enter it on both returns

The ``agent`` said this was a question for tex experts and hung up. I`m pretty sure it is that I do not know how the program here handles these things. If doing a joint return, do I fill this on on both persons returns, or is 50% split indication at the bottom ok? I found this, but I have no idea if it is correct due to the 'agent' I spoke with briefly...... If you're reporting a capital gain from a T-slip (T3, T5, T5008, etc.), enter the full amount in the boxes as per your slip, and enter your percentage at the bottom of the slip. Your spouse’s return should also report the full amount from the slip, and their own percentage.

Hey, thank you for using TuboTax. You would enter it on the tax return of the person whose SIN number is on the slip. If the two people named on the slip without any percentages given. You would normally enter 50% for each person.
