Is it possible to delete paid returns that have not been filed using turbotax premier so that they don't count towards the limit of 12 returns for incomes over $25,000?

In TurboTax CD/Download, a return only counts against your limit if you:

  • Print the tax return (or any form from it)
  • Electronically file the tax return using NETFILE and or NetFile Québec

So if you haven’t filed or printed the return, then they don’t count towards your limit and deleting them won’t add more to the limit.

If you select Help> Purchase More Returns from the top menu bar, then you can check how many returns you have left, and also buy more returns (for incomes over $25,000) if you need to.
