Is there a way to my rent as an education related expense? I am in university and I have to live in off-campus student housing during my study period.

In 2020 I moved 200km away from my permanent residence (same province) to attend university. Paying rent is necessary to attend this school. I have rent receipts.

You can claim the moving expense, but only against the income that comes with, such as bursaries, scholarship or grant.

The rent is not part of the eligible expenses, therefore cannot be expensed.
